E-Mail Marketing

E-mail marketing is essential and very important to any marketing campaign.  Getting customers to your website is very important.  You must remember that there are millions of websites out there.  Gather information from customers when they visit your site, like name and email address.  When customers are interested in buying , you must follow-up with them so they will keep your business and products fresh in their minds.
Provide an opt-in form on your site to encourage your prospects to sign up for updates, newsletter or what other products you may be offering.  Send e-mails out at regular intervals to your customers.  It is important to keep your business name in the forefront of their minds.  You want to build credibility.
You can use email marketing to send newsletter to keep your customers informed by providing small bits of information about your products or services.  You can break the article into bite size pieces and send over a specific period of time …5 days, twice a month, once a week over 4 weeks, etc.   You decide what will work best for you.  You do not want to overload them with e-mail though, so make sure you spread it at different intervals.  This can be easily done through email server.  There are many auto responders available that will send your information for you on auto-pilot.  It is almost like “Set it and Forget it.”
You can use email marketing to let your customers know when you have posted to your blog and ask them to provide feedback by commenting on your blog.
E-courses are another way to use email marketing.  Typically this would be a 5-7 day free course.  This is keep your business in the forefront of their minds each day the E-course material is received in their inbox.
You can also provide updates to your customers about your products.  You can provide other freebies and let them be the first to know when you are going to do a product launch.  Many visitors will not buy the first time.  This is the very reason to capture email addresses and names upon visits to your site so you can remain in contact with them.  They may see something at a later date that may capture their eye and encourage them to buy.
Email marketing has the potential for increasing traffic on your website.  Remember, your customer will have friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers that they could refer your business to by simply forwarding the message on.  Remember Viral marketing is powerful, and e-mail marketing is just one strategy for the word-of-mouth concept.
